On the Medway

I spent the day with Fred, his dad, his aunt and cousin on his aunt's houseboat on the Medway river. The sun came out quite a few times and we enjoyed a lovely walk within a bluebell wood and amongst 16th century cottages. While having beers on the deck,
we watched the Eurostar zoom across the river on its way to France. I wonder if any of the people on the train envied us our sunny Sunday afternoon drinking spot.

I was disappointed to see only two of the four cats on the boat, but I should consider that even seeing two was a huge bonus. The cats are gradually getting used to life on the boat. They've been Clapham cats for a long time and houseboat cats for only two weeks. One brave cat has even ventured outside, once.
