Fungi Hunt

Dups and I went to the West Coast to go fungi hunting. It was raining when we entered the bush at Coalcreek Falls, but that is usually a good time to photograph fungi.
We saw many types and kinds, and photographed heaps. They were not in 'mint' condition, but still good. By the time we came out of the bush again it was about 5 pm, and we had not had lunch. It is actually hard work, forever up and down on the ground, as most of the fungi are 'minute', and getting the camera at low angle means your head is usually in the mud and dirt, and invariably it is hard to see through the viewfinder correctly.
You are constantly caring for your camera so it does not get wet, and keeping the front of your lens clean. There is no shelter in the bush to put your bag down on, and it also gets wet. An umbrella would help, but you almost need a 'bag boy' to help. We did this for three days, and were very satisfied with what we got, and we had plenty of laughs when we looked at each other in our bedraggled, dirty appearance.
The fungi I have chosen to show is a large one compared to the others, but I liked the patterns on it. There were red, blue, grey and yellow fungi too, much much smaller.
I have not identified what species this one belongs too.
