10th Anniversary at Nick Nairn's Cook School

Today is the tenth anniversary of the first class at Nick Nairn Cook School. I first visited the school in February 2001, and have returned many times in the intervening years.

To mark this occasion, a demonstration and dine event took place. Here we have Tristan, John and Nick at the demonstration bench.

Tristran - the newest member of the cook school team - demonstrated the dessert, a chocolate creation. John - the senior tutor who took the first ever course in 2000 - created a goats cheese tart, whilst Nick dealt with the main course based on pan fired venison.

All the recipes came from Nick's book - Island Harvest - which had just been published when the school opened. However today''s recipes had been "updated" with slightly different twists.
