visiting a medieval market in the castle's garden my dear friends anke and gerd co- organized. this year's theme was directed a little to the st. elizabeth anniversary marburg is celebrating -- so lots of fake pilgrims and ailing patients (see august 26th). great weather and great fun, especially for all those kids running around. this one i saw playing on the castle wall with his little sister...

it was real fun to see the castle "re-vitalized" with all those people in medieval dresses. made you look at our landmark (the castle) in a rather different way. though there was one roman centurio inbetween that made us all laugh. VERY early middle ages...
