As I've still to type up the minutes of the previous meeting a month ago it's fortunate that this month's notes consist of only a few lines, scribbled significantly legiblier than last month's. I have a plan which should mean that the minutes of subsequent meetings will almost literally write themselves and that physical meetings can be restricted to chat and coffee. As the treasurer (stage right) has to travel from the coast for such meetings this one was held in Artisan Roast on Broughton Street on the basis of StevieFish's recommendation a while back. Apart from the smell and smoke from roasting beans it was quite pleasant, though they unfortunately don't take plastic which I should really have checked before attempting to pay.

With no meetings today I managed to get some things done, though was slightly impeded by the perverse habits of some software which gives the impression (including a little status bar labelled "Saving..." whizzing along) of saving everything as it goes until it reveals (after kicking you out if the session is inactive for a pathetically short time like ten minutes) that it's not been saving anything apart from a few erratically-placed exceptions. The explicit purpose of the software is to make things more complicated than they really need to be but it probably achieves that in the way it's supposed to function and doesn't really need to include bonus productivity-mitigators too.
