Saturday 1 May 2010: RED Squirrel.
Today is May Day in China and is a public holiday. Most people have an extended weekend. Since we usually work weekends, the school swapped that Saturday and Monday (which is our usual day off) schedules and we have no extra time off.. Pretty nifty.. for THEM. That having been said, we headed off on a part day trip. We were to be headed to a small mountain about 3 hours away by bus but when we got to the bus stop the line was about an hour long so we went to a park not too far from home, Beiling Park. It wasn't till we got there and saw the masses of people there, that I remembered I was there last year for May Day and got a cool pic of three policemen on one bike.
There were lots of things and people to take pics of but I settled on this rather handsome little squirrel. I did some research and apparently, although black in colour, it's a RED SQUIRREL. Go figure.
