The Election - a Time for Choice

In theory anyway. Locally since 1987 the Lib Dems have held our our seat in parliament with a mafority of over 12,500. it will be interesting to see if this changes today. Not that I think that is likely :-)

Sometimes it seems that there is little choice and little chance to make a difference to the way we are represented at a local level.

That said as I was browsing through the BBC website today I had a read of some of the key policies different parties were basing their electoral campaign on. One which shocked me more than any (and thats not to say there are not other shockers!) was that of the Christian party. The main focus of their policies (as ooutlined by the BBC) related to sex - ranging from the abolition of abortion, the removal of sex education in schools and various backwards reforms on homosexuality. It was like reading something from the dark ages.
