Saturday 8 May 2010: The sweet fragrance
This morning it was over cast, so I decided to go out to Shore Acres State Park and photograph flowers. I heard the rhododendrons and other flowers were in bloom. Last time I went there to photograph the flowers the tulips and daffodils were in bloom.
As I came into the park, I noticed there were some people in a group. They looked like bird watchers. I could tell because they all had binoculars around their necks. I was setting up my tripod when a gentleman from the group came over with a camera and started talking to me about photography. I had a great conversation with him and he showed me his wonderful new Canon 7D. I have this camera on my wish list :) He also talked about the great lens he just bought. He was rushed to keep up with his group, but I could tell he really wanted to photograph the beautiful flowers. The group was from out of the area. Before he left I did manage to tell him about Blipfoto and he did write it down. I'm hoping he joins.
The fragrance of the blooms all over the park was wonderful. By the time I was done out there the sun was brighter than ever and it turned out to be a lovely day.
