Sunday 9 May 2010: Fungal eruption #2
I spotted this growth on the front lawn a couple of days ago when it was just a small lump protruding from the ground. It was only a few inches away from the first growth so I figure maybe the spores from #1 had something to do with the eruption of #2.
Yesterday the protrusion was about table-tennis ball sized.....
....and today it was a fully fledged toadstool :)
With a growth rate that rapid it makes me wish I had some time lapse photography equipment to capture it with.
