INTERNATIONAL NURSES DAY

Nurses Day is celebrated all over the world the 12th of May, the birthday of Florence Nightingale.

In Oslo nurses wore old fashion nurses dresses and gave people free healthy food, fruits and balloons.
Then The Sisters Drum band came and stroke a blow for their profession. Norway has 31.9 nurses per 1,000 population and 8.3 nurses per doctor. This means that Norway sits on top of the OECD statistics. But not all of them work full time.

It was another special day today; ME International Awareness Day. Myalgic Encephalomyelitis is a chronic fatigue syndrome. This nice chap
Jørn Erik Ahlsen
is a volunteer and did a great job. His mother in law has ME and I think it's a great gesture from him to spend his time spreading information about the illness.
And as you all understand the ME patients stayed home totally exhausted
