Tuesday 18 May 2010: MILK AND ALCOHOL

There is no milk in this picture simply because I have run out and I can't be bothered to drive 2 miles just to get some.

There is no alcohol in this picture either but after the day that I've had I feel as if I would benefit from a double brandy (and this from a woman who is tea total).

At the moment my working life seems to consist days where one achieves absolutely nothing and today was no different as I made no progress, whatsoever, with a tricky complaint that I am dealing with. In the first three telephone recordings I listened to the customer is 100% certain that they have received their documentation and they then proceed to quote details from it. However, a further four telephone conversations later they state they have never received the documentation at all. In my written response I am supposed to be able to convey, politely, that said customer may be a tad confused and perhaps should instigate a further search for said document. What I would really like to write is that, in my humble opinion, they are as mad as a box of frogs and should go and find something worth while to do instead of making written complaints about a lack of service when it would appear that it is their own lack of consistency that is at fault!

Here endeth the rant of the day.

I am now going to indulge in a cup of black : - (( tea and a shortbread finger (I would have preferred to indulge in a cheese scone but I don't have any of those either).
