Wednesday 19 May 2010: NEWS FROM (DON'T CRY FOR ME) ARGENTINA
It has been a day or so since I have had the time to check my emails and so, when I finally got around to it, today, I found the above message from my friend and her husband who are currently travelling around the Americas (and other places) on a 12 month backpacking holiday.
So far her husband has eaten fried termites and fried crickets and she has suffered from altitude sickness in Peru and heat stroke in Columbia. It sounds as if she is now suffering from the cold Argentinian climate (what a shame - serves her right - not that I am jealous or anything like that).
Their next stop is Chile where they will, no doubt, have to try out the alcohol on offer there (it is a hard life but someone has to do it).
