Enjoying the scenery

Today The Boy and I had a lovely trip in to the Lake District. We took the car, headed along Ullswater, stopping for the occasional photo opportunity, found the secret car park for aira force and wandered down to the waterfall. Had some good practise at DOF in photography and realised that good sunlight will give you a fantastically exposed photo every time. I got some lovely shots of The Boy taking photos. We then headed up to Keswick for a spot of lunch and a trip round Derwent Water on the steamer.

Despites all the great shots I got on our day out, the visit of a woodpecker to the bird table at dinner time was too great a photo opportunity to miss out on, I mean after all, how often do you get to see that.

In the evening we had another family friend, J, round to visit Milo. He's met 9 new people in 5 days and has been ever so well behaved. Noticed his belly had gone pink so tomorrow we can expect misty blue eyes and then a shed by the weekend.
