Saturday 22 May 2010: ONE, TWO, THREE O'CLOCK
Another busy day as despite the lovely weather I was, for the most part, confined to barracks. This was because today's task was to crate up and move my cds from the living room to another room in the house. Unfortunately, things went more or less the same way as the book move and I was waylaid by several artists along the way. However, by noon I had, more or less completed the task and so as a reward I went for a walk down the lane.
The blip that I had spotted, the other day and was going to snap today, had disappeared and so that was out of the question. Thus, my half hour walk lasted an hour and a quarter while I tried to find suitable blip subjects (I must have spent at least half an hour tryng to snap a Blue Tit who just wouldn't stay still long enough).
In the end I liked the natural formation that the above three dandelion clocks had made and so that won out in the end.
The afternoon was spent dusting and wiping down paintwork. I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end.
Why did I chose, on the hottest day of the year so far, to make a beef and apricot curry to share with my sister as our evening meal? I 'hinted' to her that it may well be too hot for such a thing but she replied that it would be fine and she was looking forward to it. Darn it!
