Wednesday 26 May 2010: Under the Rail Bridge
That bridge is a monster when you sail under it in a wee boat - we went down the Forth nearly to Hound Point amongst the tugs and pilot vessels and to some immense cruise ship which was busily divesting itself of passengers to be ferried off to waiting buses and thence, no doubt, to the Woollen Mill and Gleneagles of Scotland for the afternoon.
Craig's from the NE of England but he doesn't know enough sea shanties to keep us occupied on these long voyages so I've started carving a wooden pipe in the likeness of a mermaid to fill with shag. Port Edgar haven't dolled out any rum rations either. Mean fekkers.
Went to the blip meet and one of the blippers had sussed out that this character was my son! Drat!
