Sunday 30 May 2010: A ROOM WITH A VIEW
This blip was taken quite early this morning. It is the view from my bedroom window taken through a chink in the curtains that seemed to frame the chimney (it used to be part of the carpet mill where I worked but it is now a 'feature' of the residential apartments that the mill was converted to).
The chimney is a listed building and I can recall the time when a steeplejack had to be called in to carry out some work on it. It was amazing to watch him work as he looked so at home swinging his way around the chimney's circumference. I'm not sure how he got up there but he abseiled down it!
I have spent most of the day in (well, not literally - I'm too big) the craft cupboard and can happily say that it has all been sorted to my satisfaction. I now have three bags to go to the charity shop and a large stack of paper for the recycling bin.
Tuna pasta bake for my evening meal and after all that sorting I am ready for it.
