Tuesday 1 June 2010: Home Time
Busy today, very hard to get much camera fun into the day, so last light blip of the house. Havent blipped the house before so dont feel so guilty. The colours do look a bit over saturated, but as you can see the sky is grey and dull, and in fact the red of the brick and the green of the fertilised grass really did look like that in comparison to the sky.
It is an old English vicarage, plans brought out from the Motherland, to New Zealand and built exactly to English specifications about 100 years ago. It is a wonderful family home and we love the solidity and unique character that it has for a Kiwi home. It is old and comfortable and in case you are wondering- no -we are not the present day vicars. They live next door now.
Been a fun day, a joyous day in terms of tennis results, no, not the French Open, but a personal vicotry over a long time rival of many years. Stopping in town to play the annual fixture before catching a plane home. Go girl power, is the cry of the day. Funny how such an insignificant and unimportant thing can make your day.
