Heron again

Just a short walk along the Water today. Another grey and dull day after the bright sunshine of yesterday, so a grey heron (Ardea cinerea) seemed appropriate. He was back at his old haunt where I've not seen him for a while.

On further bird updates, I was told that the widowed male swan is now an expectant father of two eggs in the nest under the Bernard St bridge. The Loch Garten ospreys are bringing up three healthy wee chicks too :)
