Tuesday 8 June 2010: Don't forget to water the Basil
Anyone in Brunei tonight can testify to the ridiculous downpour we've had tonight. I love the weather here, it's almost like digital rain: on or off, no hours of drizzle, it's just instant storm.
Anyway we had to go out to a meeting and the rain started while we were out. We had only managed to round up 2 of the 4 cats before leaving... Pickle and Basil were AWOL.
Pix was kindly delivered by our neighbour bless him. She was most unimpressed at getting her paws wet and spent an inordinate amount of time drying off as cats do.
Almost 2 hours later and there was a plaintive mew at the door and a very bedraggled looking Basil makes her way in. It's amazing just how much of her apparent bulk is made up of fluff. She looked skinny and very unimpressed!
God only knows where she had been hiding but it had been absolutely torrential rain for a good couple of hours, her back end looked like she'd been sat in a puddle bless her.
Pickle leapt to the rescue and they have enjoyed drying her off immensely!
I was going to blip Claudia in a home-made wrap-hammock tonight but I thought I'd add a very soggy Basil for a change :o)
