Waffle Man

Who would have thought that the most difficult piece of furniture to find for the Dower House would have been a TV and Hi Fi unit. We saw one yesterday that we both liked, but it wasn't big enough to take all the receivers and boxes which apparently we need to live the technical dream.

Convinced that we had seen very many in the flat pack emporium, we scuttled off there this morning but found only one that we liked and would perhaps fit the bill.
Our guru has to decide if it will suffice.

It is a step in the right direction when we found we could have a coffee there in a put- aside place for people who don't want either breakfast or lunch at 10:30 in the morning and don't necessarily want to sit cheek by jowl with patrons who do. It was really quite civilised.

After lunch I went round to the local school fete to buy jam and chutney from EcoDad. There he was in prime position complete with spanking new white apron making waffles spread with homemade jam and adorned with cream. Absolutely divine, and at a £ a waffle, as he said himself, possibly the best £1 you could spend in the afternoon. I reckon he's in the wrong job during the week.

Now I am about to take up the hem of a new pair of jeans while I await the arrival of a newly recovered ottoman, an artist friend who is going to collect a vast amount of A1 drawing paper and daughter # 1 who is coming to pick up her art college portfolio.

Tonight we have to decide whether to watch International Rugby (Scotland v Argentina) or the football match between England and America.

I'm not sure whether or not that is a hard decision ;)
