Saturday 12 June 2010: Summer evenings

106/365: Just got home from Milton Keynes where we lived a few years ago. Was really nice to catch up with people but boy oh boy am I pooped now! It's still pretty tiring to do social stuff. Doing 'normal' at work is manageable but being around groups of friends is tough because I don't want to bring them down by talking about my loss to any degree... but that feeling of not being quite in the moment sits on my shoulder, slowly draining my energy. Hmmm... can't quite explain it. Anyway - am shattered!

So - today's blip was taken in Milton Keynes village. When we lived in Australia I really missed evenings like this evening. Long and warm. Blue skies peppered with little white clouds and lush green grass below. Even a couple of years after we came back to the UK I still want to bottle these summer evenings and treasure them.
