Before Suburbia

As the city grows, urban sprawl consumes more and more of the surrounding farmland. Properties like this abandoned homestead are developed into new communities.

Some people try to hold out, maintaining their small island of land as suburbia springs up around them.

In the end the developers always win.

I just wonder whose memories will be razed to make room for mini-marts and condos?
