Loving the sunshine :-)

Aren't lazy sunny evenings lovely?

These are the teeny star-like flowers of my giant Aliums...purloined from my green-fingered mother-in-law a couple of years ago. They satisfy all five of the criteria for being a successful bloom in the Grant garden:

They are robust - have survived being landed on by a back-flipping seven-year-old.
They are neither greedy nor thirsty - so have survived my meagre top-soil.
They are self-sufficient - so have survived last year's pregnancy and baby induced neglect.
They are dog-proof - have survived being dug up by miscreant mongrel.
They are Bob-proof - have survived tender ministrations of the man who has managed to by-pass the green-fingered gene which runs through his family!

So that's fine then :-)
