Not many flowers

There aren't many flowers in our garden. I'm working on it, but the people who owned the house before us removed anything that grew from the garden, apart from the grass, and we have had too much to do in the house (and such horrid weather) since then, that I have only just begun to struck a blow.

But my mum gave me some of these Mesembryanthemums last time she was visiting. They looked extremely poorly - to be honest, I didn't think they would survive, but they are hanging in there, and blooming furiously! Got to love nature!
