Where else but in Scotland can you go for a walk at nearly nine in the evening and it is still so light? And not only is it light these days it is also warm.

Today felt a bit like being on holiday. Walk to nursery with no jacket, basking in the sun waiting for the nursery to open at 8am. Incredible.

And then work, all the windows open and actually a bit of a breeze made it quite comfortable today. Instead of the beach at lunchtime I went shopping instead...but I will take the cozzy tomorrow. In the afternoon a fault in the fire panel next door gave us a false alarm, again we were all just standing out there in the sun, waiting for the fire brigadeto arrive and then walk back leisurely to our places of work.

Left early only to miss two buses, the first by not getting to the stop quickly enough, the second by texting - the bus just zoomed past, never even slowing down to check if I wanted to board or not. Grrr! I hate this attitude sometimes. It is really quite impossible to wait for a bus reading or doing anything else that might take away your attention from the road. Although thinking about it now there are as many great drivers as there are grumpy ones so I won't rant on.

Late at nursery and childminders, long walk back with two barefeeted kids and mother (the shoes kept coming off so I joined them eventually). Once the kids in bed instead of heading straight for blip I went for a walk in the evening light and warmth and hence this blip.
