Thanks everyone for the birthday greetings and for your nice comments on yesterday's sunset shot. I'm glad I could share that image with you :)

We enjoyed catching up with family last night and this morning. By mid morning my hubby and his brother were planning a kayaking trip. We had four kayaks at camp, so four of us were planning to go. I tagged along with hubby, my father-in-law and brother-in-law to Crow Butte State Park on the Washington side of the Columbia River.

It was really fun kayaking. We were out there for a few hours until the sun just got too hot. I was a little freaked out when large carps were jumping up for bugs around us at one portion of the river. We saw some beautiful birds including very large white pelicans.

When I was out on the water, I brought along my good camera, but somehow everything was out of focus. I only had my zoom along. This shot was taken from near our campsite looking straight across the Columbia River.
