Wednesday 30 June 2010: ARTISTIC INTERLUDE

This is the birthday card that has been in the making since the weekend but I finally got it finished this evening (I have to deliver it tomorrow). I adopted a stained glass theme as the friend, for whom it is intended, and I are to attend a day's stained glass workshop in August.

I cheated with the image as I didn't draw it myself but printed it off the internet and then placed it on my light box in order to trace it on to plain paper. I then used the water colour pencils that I have had since April (but haven't up until now been brave enough to experiment with) and coloured it in.

On another note the cat and I fell out, last night, in a big way. He came in, around ten o'clock, of his own accord and so I locked his cat flap so that he couldn't escape again (he only seems to get into fights once darkness has fallen) but he was not happy. All night long I could hear him lamenting the fact that he was imprisoned - I never knew he had such an extensive vocabularly (I'm sure there were a few choice swear words in there). Needless to say his prowling and yowling kept disturbing my sleep and so by the time I got up for work, this morning, I was rather crabby!
