Our Cricket has Started.....

Now for the uninitiated a quick explanation of Cricket.

The team that are In are Out (in the middle)
The team that is Out are In (the Pavilion)
An Over, is not, because your Bowling, six balls per over in fact.
The match is played over five Days and the one who gets the most runs does not always win because if you run out of time then it becomes a draw, Yes my American friend a draw. If after five days the scores are equal and everyone is out then the game is not a draw, but is tied.
The Idea is to bowl a ball down 22 yards of Grass and hit one or more of three wickets that are defended by the batsman, if you hit them then he is out, you can also hit the batsman's legs and if he has impeded the ball hitting the wickets you are out, Leg Before Wicket.
You can also get caught, but only if the bat has hit the ball first, or hit the gloves. If it hits anywhere else then you are deemed not to be out.
Runs can be gained when you hit the ball and you and your partner(at the other end) run to each others end, that equals one run.
If you hit the ball to the Boundary (the edge of the field) and it gets there by bouncing then this is deemed 4 runs and you don't have to run at all.
If you hit the ball to the boundary and it gets there without a bounce then it is deemed six runs, and you don't have to run.
On top of all this you get runs with Byes, No balls, Wide Balls, Leg Byes and Over throws.

All this too much, then take up Rounders, opps Sorry Baseball, it's simpler, but for me this is the Greatest game in the World.

Hahahaha.
