ohh deer

We've been out on a day trip today, it was going to be Tatton Park, but none of us fancied the American Car Show so we ended up stopping short and having a most enjoyable day in Dunham Massey.

As we made our way to the Gardens to see the, not so photogenic (to my eye anyway), cardiocrinum giganteum. We passed this stag keeping guard over the main entrance to the house.

Like the true hunter I ducked down low, crept silently up to within range of my prey, aimed, took a deep breath and as I slowly exhaled pressed the trigger. ;) This is the result.
