Zeffirelli's

"Return to normal service" here in the Lakes today.

Only one word to describe the weather....vile!

Wet and windy. YUCK!

Went to Ambleside with my wife to get a rack and panniers fitted to her bike.

Ghyllside Cycles came up trumps and fitted the rack and panniers in 30 mins.

While we waited we went to "Zeff's" for coffee and cheese scones.

It's my favourite cafe in Ambleside.

Named after the world famous movie director, he actually held a World Premier there after he got to hear of the place.

I also saw Derek, the owner, play drums for the late, legendary John Martyn there in the early 1980's.

Back at home and about to watch the Wimbledon Mens Singles Final.

Our friend, Mel, has been drawn to be a Line Judge on Centre Court today.

She phoned last night and is, all at once, excited and very nervous.

Mind you she was LJ for one of the Federer matches earlier in the tournament and was in a big photo of him diving, which was published in the Times.

Good luck and good calls, Mel.
