Monday 5 July 2010: Foxy not shifty

129/365: One of the not-so-little-anymore fox cubs which live in our garden.

Aren't foxes getting a bad press at the moment in the UK? Everyone's gunning for them even though they're just doing their foxy thing and getting on with their own little lives. Anyway, I love the foxes which live here even if they do have a weird thing about stealing shoes and watering cans. This fox lay outstretched in the dappled light under the Silver Birch, quite content as we ate our dinner on the patio. Wasn't massively keen on me taking photos of him (or her!)... they do have their privacy don'cha know!

Not a massive amount else going on other than foxy blipping today though. Monday seems to have snuck round again. Everyone's in a bit of a weird mood at work at the mo. Feels like a perpetual last day of term as no-one's working towards any unified 'goal' of the department anymore (not that they ever really were, which has been half the problem!) since we're being disbanded in two weeks' time. Much weirdness.

Oh, and I hardly dare say how nice the weather is at the moment. It feels like we're having a proper summer at long last and if I mention it... well... shhhhhh!!!!
