Fruit of my labour

Five of the last 24 hours have seen me cleaning our beautiful, but neglected, garden furniture.

It cost a small fortune * in 1995 and is supposed to last a lifetime. However, spending half the year in Switzerland has meant our outdoor UK life hasn't really happened for several years.

Layer upon layer of lichen and green stuff have had to be removed. Finally, the original teak ** has been revealed. There's more work to be done, but I'm pleased with the results so far.
