Dr Geoffrey Smith, is an expert on the history of St Martin's Church in Scarborough, and a guide for the regular tours of the South Cliff church, which were started by John Wilkinson, 21 years ago.
English Heritage are helping to pay for stained glass window restoration, and stonework. Photo shot for a feature in my paper.
I have to admit, this photo was a lucky surprise. After taking photos of Dr Smith with the windows behind him, I asked him to turn and look up to the windows, thinking of just a window lit portrait. I immediately saw the reflection in his glasses of the very stained glass windows the story was about! Bingo!
