Starry night

This is a photo I made while camping in Yoho National Park at 1:11am.

The exposure was 60 seconds and I asked my friend to illuminate the inside of the tent with his headlamp for about 15 seconds.

We had been in the rain for 2 days, and on this evening the clouds began to break and we could see the stars peek through. I was planning to leave my camera out all night to take an astro-timelapse but the clouds came back and I didn't want it to rain on my camera and break it.

I used the Satechi TR-A timer-remote to take this photo, and many other timelapse sequences on this trip.
