Tuesday 6 July 2010: COLD COMFORT
When I got up this morning it was quite warm and the sun was shining and so before jetting off to work I prepared a salad for my evening meal. However the weather of the day deteriorated and by the time I got home it was cold and rather than eat my salad I would have given anything for a plate of stew and dumplings.
As it was it was just as well that I hadn't been planning to eat a hot meal though as I was beseiged by visitors who, although nice to see, rather out stayed their welcome. Thus, it was very late before I ate my salad and as I had not had an opportunity to go out to find a photo opportunity the salad provided just that.
