A Dog's Dinner

Bounding Bella

After a leisurely start to the day we met an excited Bella and her mum at the National Gallery so we could go and see the Christen Kobke exhibition, Danish Master of Light.

A good show but surprisingly not a great show. Lots of wonderful little portraits and some landscapes all beautifully executed but somehow a bit disappointing. I think I was expecting something like the Skagen School of painting, big skies full of light but this show was much more controlled and considered.

Anyway, we then took a leisurely stroll along to Jenners to have afternoon tea in the cafe. Slightly down at heel, not quite getting it right but perfectly Edinburgh on a damp Saturday.

Then back home with Bella, whose staying the night. (Big Bella is braw)

Oh! and we started making our sourdough bread which will take two days after making a starter which has already taken seven. Not a fast process but it should be worth it.
