Jarvisness

By jarvisness

Aloha

The Jarvis does not often go into a pub or bar with the intention of eating. That is what restaurants are for. However, the world of the bar and the restaurant can sometimes overlap, such as at The Basement in Edinburgh, where Jarvises have been known to lunch. The decor and menu at The Basement have changed little in 20 years, and the staff still wear Hawaiian shirts. All is not static, though - recently they introduced Thistly Cross, a cider from the Belhaven brewery which gets full Jarvis marks (rare for a cider).
