Water wash

Today: waterwash of the gasturbine of unit EC 4.
Sounds a bit odd but this is a good way to wash away the salt and other deposits off the compressorblading.
Here we are starting a large fan which is connected to the gas (fuel) filter.
We do this to prevent water and soap from entering the burners and gaspipes.
So we blow a lot of air through the gassystem towards the gasturbine.

Albert has to open the discharge valve very slowly after Chris has started the fan. When the fan is at normal running conditions the valve can be fully open.
In this way the fan is starting unloaded.
