Sunday 18 July 2010: WALL
I jetted over the border, today, into deepest, darkest Lancashire and on my way back home, to the village, I took a detour and came home over the moors.
The day was quite overcast but there was a propensity of colours abounding up there. The fields, some of which had been mowed, varied in their shades of green and the wild flowers (Rosebay Willowherb, Meadow Cranesbill and Heather) were doing what they do best - growing wildly.
However, this shot of a dry stone wall won the day due to the various hues of the stones against the green grass of the field, the lichen on the upright and then the more muted tones of the nettles to the front of the wall
