A little fly, just hanging about.
Full 1:1 macro with the Sigma 105mm f2.8 EX macro lens, f22, and ring flash used. I have to say, if your doing insect macro a ring flash is essential. In the light tonight even at f3.5 I was getting a shutter speed of not far off 1s, hopeless for handheld macro.
I had thought about going into town tonight to get the crowds heading to the castle for Pimply Fred but though that was a. too close to Mick Hucknall for comfort, b. making it too easy to start a rumour I was there to see them as well. Neither situation made me comfortable.
Flys are a much safer bet.
