Monday 19 July 2010: ANYONE FOR (MINIATURE) TENNIS?
Yesterday afternoon I took to my bed as I felt decidedly odd. I had a temperature but was frozen and I kept having dizzy spells.
Last night, around ten o'clock I let the cat in through the front door (it was raining and he would have got wet walking round to the back of the house to come in through his cat flap) and I noticed, at the time, that the garden path was clear.
This morning as I left the house to go to work I noticed that between the hours of ten o'clock last night and quarter to eight this morning a small tennis ball had been deposited on the garden path. I had not had any visitors yesterday and it is not one of my cat's toys. It has seemingly appeared out of nowhere. I took a quick photograph of it before coming over all peculiar again and deciding that it was not a good idea, while having dizzy spells, to get in the car and drive to work.
Once back in the house I composed myself before taking myself back to bed having dosed myself with something to reduce the temperature that I still had.
Hence, most of the day has been spent trying to keep warm and attempting to sleep away whatever it is that is ailing me. As a consequence my first blip of the day has turned out to be the only blip of the day.
