Monday 12 July 2010: Flying high
Day out to Tintagel Castle today. This beautiful kestrel was hovering and hunting at the edge of the Island, very close to the tourists swarming over the island. A bit of a busy spot.
We were lured there by Arthurian legends, so it was a bit rotten that the pre-visit video put paid to most of those notions. Still a wild and beautiful place and a challenge to climb up and down - even with the benefit of modern handrails and steps cut into the rock.
