Saturday 24 July 2010: Blue sigh
148/365: Blue flower (no idea what it is!), Clumber Park, Nottinghamshire
Still being a good girl and using Mrs Nice Camera and my new 50mm lens rather than defaulting to my light an' easy-to-use Panasonic Lumix. Am reminded why I loved my camera in the first place... but I'm still not growed up enough to use Mrs Nice Camera most of the time. I'm far too rubbishy to remember it normally and once this spurt of use disappears, I'll have to give myself another stern talking to so that she does get an outing once in a while.
Anyway, this shot was taken at Clumber Park, Nottinghamshire where we had a picnic, the kids went cycling and I walked and chatted with Mum. And it was really nice even if it is all tinged with the drifting feeling that someone is missing. And will always be missing. Poor old Dad. He was definitely in our thoughts even if he wasn't here in person.
What else have I done today? Hmmmm... not masses. Done some gardening (mowing, weeding, pruning and the like), made a curry (matar paneer if you're interested!) and fancy having a collapse in a heap right about now!
Hope everyone else is having a good Saturday! Mine's been pretty spiffy all things considered. :o)
