Put the masks on

A remarkably stressful day in the company of severely stressed out people. Caged people. And I don't really mean that as criticism. It is a conscious informed choice, giving orthodox behaviour and materialism preference over peacefulness. Not remembering what peace could feel like makes such choices easier. But this leads to a kind of shallowness, life is sufficiently long and shrewd not to overlook. Unfortunately, not really my cup of tea. Even a brief glimpse into this dense world makes me dizzy and I find it incredible, the tenacity with which so many persist with this way of life.

Today also witnessed the saga of multiple punctures (of the car, not the cycle), poor mechanics and unexpected scrambling while returning from office and collecting the cycle after the servicing.

The dinner out could have been a bit better.
