My Great Success Story

Somerset Cider

So me and Corky decided to go on a two day trip to somerset and north devon. We took the short route rather than the fast route from Taunton to Lynmouth which took us down some very small roads and funny towns which seem to still be living in the 70s.

We saw signs for cider and decided to follow, it took us quite a way. This picture is just outside the farm. Corky was nervous about going in and asking for cider because it didn't look like a tesco or something. When we went in another sign told us to beep the horn for cider so we did and a lady came out and lead us into a barn with three barrels labelled dry, medium and sweet. She let us sample before buying and we had a nice conversation that I'm pretty sure Corky understood none of due to the ladies strong accent.

Went to Doone Valley in Exmoor (Lorna Doone? No, me neither) a few small towns and Lynmouth.

Ended the day by eating at the only good looking restaurent in Barnstaple (Giovanni's).
