Tuesday 27 July 2010: BERRY NICE

I went to work, today, feeling very cut off as I was taking my laptop to MsGable's place of work so that the courier could collect it and take it to the 'hospital'. Adding that to the fact that I was also without a land line, made me feel very isolated. However, having got to work I soon began to wish that my isolation had continued as I spent the whole day chasing another person for information that was long overdue but still not forthcoming. As a result I received several snotty and almost abusive emails. It was enough to make a parson swear!

When I got home I took myself down the road for my walk but wasn't particularly inspired by anthing. I was just about to turn for home and proceed to blip a subject that I had earmarked last week when I spotted my first ripe blackberry of the year. I couldn't resist capturing its image as it looked so jewel like.

The blackberry also made me think of my grandfather as one of his favourite desserts was spice (as he used to call blackberries) and apple pie.

Upon returning to the house I did a bit of tinkering with the wire on my phone and managed to get it working (temporarily) again - hurrah! My joy at that was only surpassed by a surprise visit from MsGable.

ps I left the blackberry for the birds to eat : - )
