The fact that I wore my new shoes to work today certainly had a positive effect on the annoying little minx of yesterday as she was all sweetness and light. I reciprocated and was happy to let bygones be bygones but, if I ever cast aside my Buddhist principles, she will be the first on my hit list!
The above shoes are what my mother would have classed as "sensible" and I suppose that I have now reached an age when comfort, supposedly, conquers over style. Age has made little difference to me though as comfort has always taken precedence before style as it tends to be cheaper (I prefer to spend my spare cash on reading material) and I have never been what The Kinks would have classed as "a dedicated follower of fashion".
