Homemade Wind Detector

Most of this boys homework effort is almost entirely based around judging very accurately the line between the amount of effort that is sufficient to avoid the teachers wrath and not spending one iota of useless extra energy making it any better than the predetermined minimum.
This wind vane was just on the border line. Me, being a stupid girl, thought it might be nice to sort of pretty it up, make it look cooler with paint and stuff like that, draw out the compass and add some touches of his own. How ridiculous! Sticking the store bought compass onto the base paper was totally all that was required. "it works doesnt it?"
