Anthony Gormley - Water of Leith - Sculpture 5

This is the next installment of my Antony Gormley "6 Times" series of figures along the Water of Leith. It's number five and can be found near Bonnington Bridge - well, it can be if you look very carefully!

You'd be forgiven for wondering if it is there at all. (In fact some conspiracy theorists have reported the theft of these mysteriously missing figures). I wandered back and forth in mounting frustration quite a bit before I realised that it was in the first place I'd looked but was face down in the water!

Apparently they are on hinges so that if the water rises too much (due to our lovely Scottish rain) they flip forward rather than being damaged. Which is a good idea.
An even better idea would be to have someone who flips them back up again once the water level has returned to normal!
