Saturday 7 August 2010: Cragside House
Visited Cragside House near Rothbury, Northumberland, today.
Home of inventor Lord Armstrong.
It's a National Trust property and well worth a visit.
Second time I've been here.
The house is full of inventions like a hydraulic lift so his butler could get the coal scuttles to the top floors without having to climb the stairs.
It was also the first house in the world to be lit by hydro-electricity!
The gardens are fantastic too.
More potential blips than you can shake a tripod at!
